BBQ Curl Sandwiches

This is barely a recipe… because it is so easy.  But do not let the easiness fool you.  It is damn good.

Ingredients
  • 1 package of Butler’s Curls
  • Bottle of BBQ Sauce

The secret is using Butler’s Soy Curls.  If you don’t have these, you can get them in some stores or shipped from Amazon.  You can buy it in either one bag, 3 bags, or 6 bags.

These curls can be used in other dishes and trust me, they taste great.

Put the curls in a large pot.  Pour warm water over the curls.  Wait 10-15 minutes.  Drain the water out (or most of it).  Add a 1/2 bottle of BBQ sauce (amount to what makes sense).  Mix in as you go.  Heat up.

Lightly toast some quality buns.  Spoon a heap of the BBQ curls on the bun and serve with some side dish.   10 minutes of work for a tasty vegan meal!

Note, from the Brand New Vegan site, here is a recipe for making your own sauce.

Sauce Ingredients
  • 2 8oz cans tomato sauce
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ⅓ cup Agave Syrup (can use sugar or honey if you are okay with honey in your food)

  • 2 teaspoons liquid smoke
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
