All about the cake….
Start with a 9×13 cooking pan. Spray or grease. Add a parchment paper to the base and grease that also for easy removal. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Chocolate Mix
Dutch Processed Cocoa Powder 4 oz (wt)
Mix with 1 cup boiling water.
Dry Mix
- 4 oz (wt) Cake Flour
- 5.5oz (wt) AP Flour
- 4 tsp Baking Powder
- 10.5oz (wt) Dark brown Sugar
- 1/2tsp Salt
- Chocolate mix from above
Mix in beater until evenly mixed
Add:
- Vegetable oil 1 cup
- 4 egg substitutes (flax seed, banana, applesauce)
- 4.5 oz (size) Vegan Sour Cream
Beat one minute. Pour into pan.
Place in oven for 30-35 minutes until springy
Frosting
- Earth Balance 5.5oz
- Veganaise 1oz
Beat high for 1 minute
Add
- Semi-sweet chocolate bits 3oz (wt) Microwaved until melted
Beat Slow
Slowly add in 8oz powdered sugar and a dash of salt
Beat high 3 minutes util fluffy
Frost cake. Serve.
