-One measure each of:
- Lentils
- Mung beans
- Barley
- -Half measure of cracked wheat.
- -One med onion
- -Salt/pepper, turmeric
- -Chicken or beef broth
Wash beans to get the dust off them. better if you soak the beans, they cook faster.
Dice onion and with beans put in a pot, some water and bring to boil. Add water as needed. Or add broth for flavor.
When the beans are cooked (ish) turn it down to simmer, stir in a bit, i.e. knife tips worth, of turmeric. Salt and pepper to taste.
