Southern Sausage Gravy


  • Med Yellow Onion, chopped.
  • 4 Vegan Sausage Links (Sweet Earth Maple Apple or ?)
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Earth Balance butter, 2 TBSP
  • 1 TBSP AP Flour
  • Vegan milk, unsweetened.
  • Onion Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Garlic Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Oregano 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Pepper (couple dashes)


Sautee onions until soft in a  good sized skillet.  Crumble up the vegan sausage and add to the pan along with the garlic.  Continue cooking for 2-3 minutes.  Add salt, butter.

Once butter is melted, add in flour.  Constantly stir and cook the flour to make a roux.  Cook for a few minutes.

Add milk and seasonings.  Adjust seasonings to taste.

Stir until the gravy gets thicker and cook for about 10 minutes.  The longer the gravy sits, the thicker it will get.

Serve over biscuits.
